The best dog in the world

Our wonderful and much loved Candy lost her battle with cancer over the weekend. She really was the best dog, both as a companion to the family and a playmate for our daughters.

Here she is, starting as a puppy in 1999 'til just this past fall.

Awwww, so sorry Margaret! What a lovely pooch!

BTW, who won all those rosettes and what for?

Good idea on the silk painted scarves as well. I might try that some day! Thx.

Big hugs on the loss of your beautiful dog. I lost my Dad on the same day, and my much loved and loving cat last Friday, both from cancer. I know how heart broken you must be feeling.

I am so sorry for your losses. Although cancer is hard to deal with as you go through it (I have also lost family members to cancer), it does give you time to cherish and reflect on what you have. We all spent lots of time with Candy in her last few weeks, which gave us a few more memories to hold on to. I hope you were able to do the same.

Margaret, so sorry you lost Candy. I've lost cats too, one who was 18 years old due to kidney failure. Pets really do become family members and they are just as sorely missed as any human I think. They give unconditional love in return for yours. I hope one day you invite a new pet into your family, when you're ready.

Hooroo,
Christine.
